The Geauga Academy is the alternative high school for the county. It was established in 1999 by the Geauga County Educational Service Center. It is jointly funded by the Ohio Department of Education’s Alternative School Challenge Grant and the referring districts in the way of tuition. It is a one year intensive intervention program. The Academy goal is to get students caught up in their core academics while teaching them the skills needed to be successful when returning to their referring school and beyond.

The Geauga Academy is committed to supporting students as they reclaim their education through the utilization of technology, standards based instruction, and intervention.
Location: The Geauga Academy is located on the Auburn Career Center campus. Students enjoy the same academic atmosphere as their counterparts. Transportation to and from the Academy is provided by their referring high school. Students with Senior status may apply for an Auburn parking permit.
