Geauga County District Substitute Opportunities:
The Geauga County Educational Service Center is responsible for acquiring the necessary credentials for all substitute coverage in the county. If desiring to substitute within a Geauga County school district, you must first complete the credential application process at the Geauga County ESC.
Special Education Program Substitute Opportunities:
The Geauga County Educational Service Center hosts six special education programs within the Geauga County school districts. These special education programs are detailed below. If desiring to substitute within these special education programs, you must first complete the application process with the Renhill Group.
EARLY CHILDHOOD - Preschool
All of our classrooms are comprised of children 3 to 5 years of age who receive specialized instruction for delays in development as well as typical peer role models. Our teachers are intervention specialists who are early childhood experts in development and special education.

STARS Autism Program
Specialized Teaching for students with Autism and Resource Support
Our mission is to provide educational services to school-aged students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, in an academic environment that fosters acceptance, independence, and success.
Classrooms locations: Cardinal & West Geauga districts: Jordak Elementary, Cardinal Middle, Cardinal High, West Geauga Middle and West Geauga High
Is an educational program serving students with multiple disabilities who require moderate to intensive instruction. Geauga Achieve aims to provide all students, regardless of disability, an educational program in a supportive environment that meets the individual needs of the student.
Classroom locations: Cardinal, Kenston and West Geauga Districts: Cardinal High School, Kenston Middle, Timmons Elementary, West Geauga High School, West Geauga Middle School, and Lindsey Elementary.
Is an educational program serving students at risk due to emotional challenges resulting from trauma. CORE classrooms help students gain the skills necessary to become college and career ready. Academic success, community involvement and self-reliance are the three outcomes that underpin the CORE classrooms.

GAITWAY HIGH SCHOOL
This school operates in a nontraditional setting where students with emotional and educational needs are integrated into the daily workings of a nationally recognized therapeutic riding center. Gaitway High School exists for high school students who thrive best in a non-traditional environment with support from caring, experienced professionals. Gaitway High School offers connection to the natural environment, the opportunity to experience a relationship with horses and the setting to allow experimental application of classroom theory.

VOCATIONAL TRANSITION CONSORTIUM
The Geauga County ESC Vocational Transition Consortium has been established to provide transition-to-work services and vocational skill training for students with multiple disabilities. Through these programs, students will learn the employability skills that are necessary for obtaining work, on-the-job skill training, maintaining a job, and working after high school graduation. Students will improve and apply their employability skills within the community setting at a variety of competitive and community job training sites. Employment Job Sites include: UH Geauga, Heinen's Fine Foods, CVS, Bainbridge Zoning, Weils, Hamlet Village, Punderson State Park, Geauga County Public Libraries, & Fowlers Mill Golf Course
