Carrington School Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Field Trip

The students at Carrington School enjoyed a wonderful field trip viewing historic exhibits at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio in the month of December. They were given a mini-lesson from a teacher on staff at the Rock Hall and learned about the aspects of the music industry, from manufacturing and distribution to consumption. They learned about music and social changes in the 1960’s and 1970’s, as well as the historical development of Hip-Hop to Rap.

Afterwards, the students were able to tour the museum for free. They were able to observe and read about the artists, and the multitude of different genres through the exhibits that ranged from various musical instruments, guitar picks, music amps, pictures, and clothing of the enshrined music legends. All of the students excitedly danced to the interactive screens that played past and current music and videos. A special highlight for the students was eating in the Rock Hall Cafeteria. They particularly loved the pizza and choice of fountain beverages, as well as the salads, hot dogs and sandwiches.
