Field Trip to Great Lakes Science Center
On March 30, 2016 and April 1, 2016, students from the Carrington School Program were able to tour the Great Lakes Science Center with their teacher, Ms. Schloss.

Students participated in several exhibits and activities at the Great Lakes Science Center.  Students visited The Science of Ripley's Believe It or Not! exhibit, which showcases "one-of-a-kind oddities, record-setting feats, biological anomalies and fun, interactive exhibits."

They participated in the Capsule Chat, which is an "informal chat about the Apollo Command Module and the Skylab mission," with Science Center staff.

Students enjoyed the Cleveland Creates Zone, which invites students to "Invent, design, tinker and create in our new maker space.  Let your creativity soar as you design parachutes, launch rockets, race cars and build structures only you can imagine."  Students designed and created duct tape shoes during their visit to this exhibit.  See the attached photos.

Students also saw two IMax movies, "To the Arctic" and "Robots," in the OMNIMAX theater.  For some of our students, this was their first experience in an IMax theater.  For many of our students, this was their first visit to a museum.
